Labradors are at Play at Huntmor Labradors!

Established in 1996 under the original name of Hunters Bar Retrievers, we shortened our kennel name to "Huntmor" when we were granted AKC approval for a kennel registration. It still fits us well, because if Tom could hunt-more he would have to be unemployed! The end spelling we chose is reminiscent of the ancestors of our English Labradors and the moors in England where they frolicked (and it is one letter shorter to help with AKC space requirements!).

Our dogs are our pets first and formost. They all enjoy spending time in the house and are not simply 'kennel dogs'. We need them to be up to date on manners so when we travel to shows they can stay in the hotels that are dog friendly. When not in our home, we are proud of the comfort our kennel building offers the dogs. The kennel is armed by a state of the art security system providing the dogs protection from fire or theft, as well as surveillance from the house.  Each dog has a full time playmate and has a private run with solid panel dividers which is made by The Priefert  Company.  We feel the welded wire offers added security and safety to the dogs, while the powder coated finish provides a lifetime of quality.  The kennels are housed in a completely covered and insulated building.  The south side is open for fresh air and constant breeze, aided by ceiling fans and a misting system for their comfort.

Each run is also equipped with an insulated 'Dog Den 2', from K-9 Kondos, which fit our Labradors perfectly.  We have found these to be invaluable in the coldest of winters as well as the hot days of summer.
